Official 2010 Attendance Figures.

ORD_Buckeye

Wrong glass, Sir.
  1. Michigan
  2. Ohio State
  3. Penn State
  4. Alabama
  5. Tennessee

Some interesting things I noticed.

119. Akron--second from the last. $60MM new stadium: How's that build it and they will come thing working out for you, President Drunken Sailor. Oh well, I'm sure he's onto his next building project that will contribute to that university's future insolvency. They've already had their bond status downgraded by S&P to one step above junk status. When you Ohio taxpayers are on the hook to bail that place out (which shouldn't even exist in the first place) remember you were warned. BTW, they were one behind Idaho who play their football games in a glorified high school gym.

95. Nevada--less than 20K a game/65% of capacity in the program's best season in history. Spend less time worrying about how to get your hands on our money and more on getting your own people into the seats.

98. Ohio
100. Troy--well, it would seem that FredOU beat them in something.

83. Washington State--really. No, really? You play in the Pac 10, and you can't average better than 25K. You're a god damned embarrassment.

73. Boise State--college football's future. The "Power" program. Why won't anyone play us? Go get your [censored]ing shinebox.

57. Indiana
56. TCU
52. Utah. You lost to a bunch of god damned mid-majors, Indiana. If I were you I'd go out and do something about it and redeem myself in the eyes of my maker, my coach and my conference.

Jesus!
My beloved Dawgs had the highest of any team in America with only 6 home games.

Something to be said for the Jeremy Foley school of thought. Schedule 7-8 home games and play more mid-majors to drag in more and more cash.

And my Huskers were #11, pretty impressive considering the relative population numbers! Averaged 105.67% of capacity, which would rank top 5. And the stadium expansion project was just approved to take capacity from 81,000 to over 91,000! :)

Obligatory disclaimer for ORD: Nebraska is not the be-all/end-all and epitome of college football. Our average attendance was definitely less than Ohio State. :)

But you've sold out every game since 1962!

Prepare for an eternity of being called "Fredo of the Plains"

Never! They are a Big Ten university now, and as much as Dallas tries to stereotype my view into a simple polemic agin' his beloved Huskers, I want Corn Aggy to succeed. I want them to bring the areas where they lack up to the standards of the football program becoming the all-around home run that Delaney promised. Hell, I might even come to like the inglorious basterds.

Besides, while they may not have been in my top 5 for expansion, they've never done anything to hurt Ohio State. "Fredo" is reserved solely for those universities that have, as a matter of policy from their administrations, attempted to stab Ohio State in the back and cut her off at the knees. They reside in the inner circles of hell. Nebraska doesn't even come close.

  1. There are only 24.6k people in Pullman Washington, this leads me to believe that every single person in Pullman is at the football games (because what the fuck else are you going to do?) and that no one from outside of Pullman wants to spend a weekend in Pullman, I can't say that I blame them.

Washington St. - 65.25%

Woo... Pac 10 Football

It ain't for lack of trying by the Oregon schools (UO - 110%, OSU - 99%)

Granted, Autzen is a 60k seat arena and Reser is 45K, but at least they fill them.

Part of the price paid for Ohio State being open enrollment back in the day.

About ten years after the worst of it, but we were still transitioning out of Rhodes' mess. Therefore, I developed a distinct lack of tolerance for fools...until they all flunked out second year. Then, they were free to go off and enjoy life as they saw fit.
