Official 2007 Mock Draft Thread

It appears as though the combine ends today, so starting at 8:00 AM the Raiders will officially be on the clock.

I think it ends tomorrow when the DBs do their exercises. Not that I'm protesting when to start ... it'll prolly take me a week to get my first pick in.

Well, the Raiders certainly could use a big body on the line but, unlike the team, I'm not prepared to make that big bodied player be named Jamarcus Russell.

After the Gallery fiasco, Joe Thomas is not worth the risk.

This offense needs a playmaker. With Porter and Moss both rumored to
be back, that leaves out C.J. I can't make the first pick in the draft a player
that only touches the ball 7 times a game, especially when the offense stinks so bad.

With the first pick in the 2007 BP NFL Mock Draft, the Raiders select
Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma.

A question was asked about FA signings, and if you could sign a FA that is on your team and then trade him.

Basically, you're the GM of the the team now and you can do what you want with your own players. Just keep it realistic. If you go to a teams message board and the buzz is saying that the guy doesn't want to be on the team next year and WILL LEAVE, then don't sign him and trade him just to get an extra pick.

You can't make FA signings from somebody elses team

Just curious, what would you do in that spot?

for other browns fans, Russell was Smooth Olaf's third choice.

i really dont know....I'd desperately want to trade down. I think any QB that comes in is going to have a really hard time with the state of the teams running game and offensive line. I guess QB is the best value, otherwise Branch would be my pick.
