stxbuck has told me he will be out, so I'm not going to wait to announce his pick.

With the 37th pick in the 2006 Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Kamerion Wimbley, DE from Florida State.

With the 38th pick of the 2006 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select...

D'Qwell Jackson - LB - Maryland

I7759-2004Oct28L

Jackson is projected by some as the top inside linebacker in the draft. The Browns play a 3-4, and they were in need of another middle linebacker to line up alongside Andra Davis.

yeah I fucked up on this one, so I'm making it right. Green Bay gets Marcus McNeill, OT, Auburn. This is a first rounder and a great pick.

San Fran PMed me and methomps their list, and it is unchanged with this. San Fran still selects Kamerion Wimbley, DE, FSU.

Cleveland is still on the clock. If they want D'Qwell still, that's fine. If they want somebody else, that's fine. If they want the trade voided, that's fine.

Cleveland is up to confirm their selection.

Sorry guys.

P.S. - I'm (Tagliabue) retiring soon so there isn't shit you can do about it

Damn, I was hoping for Jackson, he'd be a steal here, but instead, the Titans take Sinorice Moss, WR, Miami. Moss adds some much needed speed to the WR corps, and fits in nicely with Drew Bennett and David Givens to give the Titans a potentially explosive offense.

It has been 12 hours, and Detroit hasn't been online since Thursday. I think they were looking forward to Huff falling to them, and now that he isn't there they have their pick of lots of stud DBs who have fallen. I know too much about who everybody else is planning on picking, so I won't vote. Here are the Lions team needs from nfldraftcountdown.com:

Detroit Lions
Depth Chart
1) Linebacker
Inside or outside is needed depending on where Lehman plays.

2) Offensive Tackle
Kelly Butler contributed to the failings of the o-line in '05.

3) Free Safety
Terrence Holt can certainly be upgraded in the deep patrol.

At Safety - Ko Simpson (USC) and Darnell Bing (The real USC)
At OT - Jonathon Scott, Texas
At LB - Abdul Hodge seems to be the highest rated left on the board
