October 21, 2011: day of destruction

Jake - I can sense that your co-workers have a great need to hear your opinions on religion, given your body of work on the issue, and I don't think that you should withhold your advice from them on that subject.

That would be unfair and selfish. :p

My co-workers are well aware of my opinions. If they choose to spend their lives chasing superstitious nonsense that is their choice. The last one who tried to "save" me was treated to my family history, of reverend grandpa and fire and brimstone dad, both of whom essentially shit on everyone they ever knew and reached out to "God" to appease their guilt.

So, Gator, is that why you believe? Are you guilt ridden, or are you just too lazy and stupid to learn the origins of the silliness of christianity? Maybe you're just afraid to die? Either way, I can't wait for the next installment of your insights on the subject.

Sarcasm cuts both ways, my friend. :)

Insight: when trying to convince folks of your point, calling them idiots during your presentation may have a negative effect on your odds of convincing them.

Edit: But not when I do it.

On the positive side at least Jake's opinion on religion clearly isn't the result of daddy issues.

To be fair, he is more of a sidekick. He is like the Robin to my Batman.
