I love Hart but I don’t know how you can call plays the rest of year the more I think about it. Every day/hour away is a day/hour less at practices, in the film room, instructing players, coaching the WRs and installing plays/playcalls.

Obviously the Bucks don’t know their opponent so the gameplan won’t be fully devised for another couple weeks but still feels dangerous recipe for miscommunication and poor execution.

It could be minor but we saw what it takes last year to win a title - everyone all in and on the same mission to click.

I hope it works but Day may find he needs to cover that role again.

I am in agreement. I've been stuck in-between executive positions during my career. There was always a plethora of issues that arrived at the destination and it was very hard to pay sufficient attention to the issues that still needed completion at the former job. I think so highly of Hartline but Superman is a fictional character. Buckeyes need to make a NC run plan with his involvement as a resource, not a manager.

I’m not sure how plausible it is to replace the OC in this timeframe, but Hartline is not going to be able to focus on both and that’s not good.

For better or worse, at this point I think it comes down to CEO Day taking on extra duties for the next month.

We’ll see if his tune changes from today’s presser once he realizes Hartline isn’t in the building this week (or whatever days he’s down in Tampa).

I’m in the “Thanks for everything, good luck at USF” camp.

Indiana may have had an advantage in game prep last night since they had Purdue the week before when we had The Game, and they may have had less distractions during the week.

We’ve got 24 days to get ready. I’d prefer the same full-time group concentrate on aTm and Miami, with some GAs assembling film study and analyzing tendencies for future possibilities UGA, Indiana, Oregon, and Texas Tech. And the winner of Ole Miss and Tulane after that game happens.

The only good thing about all this *can be* snapping any and all tendencies. Similar to Cardale and the offense changing in 2014, everything can change here.

Key word is can.

I'm nervous after seeing the game plan Day and Co. stamped approval on last night. The glass is half full in me hopes that's to keep anything off film before the playoffs but I don't know bros.

Didn’t Coach Tressel used to talk about trying to be here and there? And how you can’t do both.

And I can’t recall who Hartline’s coach was at OSU (sarcasm font).

Regardless, this gives Day an excuse to be heavily involved in the game plan development the next few weeks.

Oh I think we've all known that. I'm pretty sure Day has had a hand in calling plays alongside him all year.
USF is hiring him to make a splash with a young, up and coming coordinator who can recruit, and they can brag that they landed him for big ol OSU.
