OC Arthur Smith (Official Thread)

Never liked the Arthur Smith hire. Jeremiah Smith has carried Arthur all year, like Derrick Henry carried him and made him look decent at the Titans.

The whole team is in disarray, same o-line problems, defense isn't progressively improving, run game looked better, jackson played hard, the look in some of those kids eyes during the game was hollow.

It's hard to believe how much the D got exposed last night.

Nah, that goes to promoting Combs to DC. Smith may not be great, but he’s at least remotely competent. Combs had no business being a DC.

Yeah Smith was at least an OC before, Coombs was in over his head from the jump where he needed his inexperienced co- DC to bail him out. smith is certainly in the top 3 of bad Day hires/promotions though

What I want to know is where is all the innovation and confusion he was bringing that the players were so high on in camp? Did we scrap that for the Dave playbook or what?

This is why I think Day is still involved in the offense. It's the same maddening shit as before but with a different OC. Though pairing the maddening shit current version Day thinks works but doesn't with Smiths boner for TEs is a perfect disaster

Hartline didn’t really have an offensive philosophy/style did he? It looked more like a slow ass version of Bollemans O. And all those cool plays that looked great running in shorts or even in pads against theses lines, probably had to be chucked out the window when they reallized the OL can’t block and the DL is the worst it’s been in I don’t know how long
