Observations from the corner of the family room with a blanket over my head

Nothing to say after a great game like that? I'm pretty surprised, Oh8ch.

On another note, I'm pretty worried about my wife right now. I think she might be having delusions of some sort. She seems to think I've had a disassociative break or some such psycho-babble. I really have no idea what she's talking about.

I told her all about Boeckman's 4 touchdown passes and JL's interception return for a touchdown, as well as Herron's slick and nifty running, but she just doesn't seem to get it. I mean, after a 35-3 whooping of USC, you would think she'd be happy for OSU, right? Usually she's pretty supportive of my passion for sports. I think she might hate my favorite football team now or something. Weird.

Oh, well. I guess I have to celebrate by myself tonight. Anyone care to join me for a little of the bubbly? It's Moet & Chandon. Great stuff. PM me for an address if you want to come over and help my drink my celebratory booze!

:oh:

No need to send me the address. It's a place I've been many times...

:io:

You and Scooter and BB73, among others. I really out to steal a turnstile from the subway and start charging admission.

If you really want to make money, put the turnstile on the exit. There are more Buckeye fans leaving the state of denial than there are entering it (right now anyway)

Congrats, you just made me laugh out loud, literally, after a 35-3 loss. That's really saying something. I know a lot of people don't agree with the way BP moderates itself during tough games, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Threads like this make me love this site, which may say poor things about my mental state since the post itself is 3 characters long.

As a proud lurker, I normally just move along to the next thread, but the thought of some individual with a blanket over their head after the results of tonight's game had me laughing as well. I made the mistake of going to some other boards....I am not sure why I did that. I appreciate even more how this site chooses to operate!

Go Buckeyes, live to play another day....its just a game.

The game is what it is, theres quite a good number of teams that would have suffered the same fate at the hands of that USC team tonight.

To put where im coming from into perspective, I've been an Ohio State fan my entire life, it was the only university i even bothered to apply to (and barely was able to squeak in :) and I am now a junior at the school. Of course one of the things that I really wanted to see over my time here was a national championship (just to say I was here for that etc etc), of course in 06 i was a freshmen, we had what seemed to be the perfect season, with everything aligning perfectly. (#1 OSU-#2 Michigan yada yada). We all know what happened there, then my soph year things looked in doubt and we got a couple breaks and were able to get back, I was able to make the trip out to NO but again we know what happened there. Now im a junior and a lot of people have sat around and said that this year is "national championship or bust" but after really seeing this football game and putting into perspective what this team has gone through I do not feel that way. For these seniors, personally how I will define their legacy is not based on what happened tonight but what happens from this point forward.

We can go 11-1 and no we're not going to play for a national championship but for this team bounce back and continue to play every week will say everything about the character of the team because quite frankly it is an enormous task.

If they continue to go out there and play with 100% every week I will be proud of the way they have represented me and the rest of Buckeye Nation

It was a long, hot day. It was my first time seeing the Buckeye's in person. It made me want to stab someone in the eye when I heard my husband got spit on after the game by a random USC fan(I know, don't judge all the fans by one shithead asshole.) It was a nightmare getting home. One brat in the heat was not enough to eat and I was shaking and had a massive headache when I finally got home. I was letting the negatives outweigh the positives of the day, until I read this post. All of a sudden, I laughed out loud and smiled again. I love you BP.

Great experience to see the Buckeyes live under any circumstances. Of course, you realize that given the outcome, you may never do so again. Can't be too careful about these things.

We are going to have a serious problem in my house if I can't go to games, should we get the chance. I'm an understanding woman...but it only goes so fucking far.

I'm thinking "That's one magic loogey".

I can't rep your hubby yet, or I would.
