O.J. Mayo (Official Thread)

I don't know to what extent Mayo's suspension has been covered on here but if he wants to go back to Oak Hill, they will let him back in. If he doesn't come back, it's likely that Walker will take off as well. It also seems like an option that Mayo could just skip his senior year in HS and a freshman year in college, then go NBA, though going back to Oak Hill seems more likely. From what I was told(and this comes from a very good source), Mayo isn't very interested in OSU and would like to go to KSU with Walker. I didn't hear much about USC, but this was about 2 weeks ago when I heard all this.

You better check your sources then. I was quite suprised that Walker committed before Mayo. From everyone I have talked to Walker was going to follow Mayo, not Mayo follow Walker. Mayo could very well end up at KSU, but he is definately looking at other schools right now.

Mayo Recap
It lasted about 20 hours but heralded recruit O.J. Mayo’s visit to USC is over. So what’s the bottom line?
I asked four players who participated in a series of pickup games with Mayo in the North Gym on Thursday where the No. 1 player in the country will go to college and they unanimously said the same thing: USC.
None play for USC, so they didn’t exactly gain anything by saying it.
``He’s coming,’’ one said.
Mayo’s commitment could be a four-fer because his highly regarded teammate, forward Bill Walker, ranked No.2 behind Mayo by Rivals.com, is expected to accompany him along with center Aaron Pogue and perhaps another undisclosed player.

Look for Mayo to have the same effect Cook did on this year's recruiting class at tOSU. I wont be suprised to see some Top 100 kids follow Mayo to USC. If Mayo does end up at USC, look for them to be a contender in the PAC-10 his freshmen year.
