that's all well and good......as long as it happens. this team has a knack for playing way above their ability when they think they've been disrespected. they also have a knack for manufacturing disrespect.

I have 0 faith in Iowa being able to beat them, so now these fucking mutants will be going into our night game at home with the worlds biggest chip on their shoulders. I'll issue one more warning to anybody going to this game.......don't. If you do, bring a video recorder because just telling the stories about what is going to happen to you won't do it justice.

As PAINFUL as it is to say this....and I mean downright damned, rhythmic slapping painful.......if BOB has an 8 win season - he's going to win Coach of the Year.

I'd give it to him.

In the south they have an interesting little saying, "bless his little heart". It allows people to say pretty much anything, like "he sure is an ugly mongoloid kid, bless his little heart" and get away with it.

The B10 Coach of the year voters, Kirk Ferentz and a few others have pretty much turned that title into the "bless his little heart" version of coaching awards.

"He won 8 games with that team, bless his little heart" 2012 goes to Balderdash O Ballslap.....I could see it but not before a savage beating from the big meanie at OSU who always has better players and should always have a better record.

As he should. He's kept that team together in the worst of situations.

But, the best part of all of this? A nice season gets the cult's hopes up. See, they did lose a lot after the sanctions, but they're still fielding a semi-respectable team. They had decent recruiting classes from 08-10 and are seeing the returns from that. Last year's was a disaster, and this year's may end up worse. Once the scholarship limits kick in, they'll be Indiana. It will be fun to watch.

Plus, lets be honest, who have they actually beat worth a damn this year?

Temple is a mediocre Big East team. Navy is terrible. Illinois is a wasteland. NW was ranked, but their only "decent" win was over Syracuse. They are not very good.

Bilbo O'Buttdivot deserves some kudos from holding off an implosion, but on paper, they should have won those games. I'm not ready to annoint him a miracle worker just yet.
