10-19 from 3

This has been a recurrent problem with Ohio State for the past 4-5 years....

The crazy thing is that they actually have done a decent job defending 3s that aren't off of ball screens.

I have very little confidence we'll win this game by more than 3 points, if we win at all by this point.

And when it happens game after game after game and no adjustments are made, what's the problem then?

I hate playing Northworstern.

That's the thing, though, except for ball screens most have been at least somewhat contested. What's being done to adjust to ball screens? No clue, but I don't think the majority are coming off of those anyway. I mean, I can count at least 4 tonight that our man had a hand in the shooter's face or had a decent defensive position and they still knock them down like there's no one around. I don't know what the answer is, because I think they've done a decent job of defending the arc in general. Plus, its also usually guys that aren't much of three point shooters that go off, so if we're playing off those guys its because the scouting report says they're not a serious threat. I guess you'd have to look at their games not against us, but if they're not making them under low pressure situations against other teams, is our coaching staff really just supposed to assume they're magically going to be better against us every time and scheme that way?

And yes, I can't stand playing NW.

Look at virtually every game they've lost this year, this game tonight and most of the 1st half against Wisconsin.

There's a hole there somewhere and it needs to be accounted for because every time that issue in the defense is exploited and a team hits its shots like scUM did or like NW is doing tonight, Ohio State tends to lose. It's their fatal flaw I guess...
