I'd be furious if we gave up a bowl because we think our shit doesn't stink. Fuck that. Play better against the only good teams on your schedule if you want a reward.

Don’t lose against the two best teams you play, or join a conference so if you do, you still have a chance to get in by winning a conference championship game. Both definitely ND self inflicted problems.

Lost in all the whining I see posted here from the outside world is the kids who aren't going pro.

They just got fucked. Hard.

20-30 guys thought they'd get one last practice, one last pre game meal, one last road trip, one last game with their brothers. When you get older you don't miss the games, you miss the locker room (well, not Penn State guys but I digress). Those kids were just done a massive disservice by their AD.

The parent in me feels legitimately sorry for them. If it were my kid, they'd be hearing me voice my displeasure.

It sounds like the players voted not to play in a bowl, but they probably should have limited the vote to guys who were out of eligibility. I'd be pretty pissed if I thought I had one more game, then had the rug pulled out from under me because half the team was butt hurt that they didn't make the CFP. I guess that's another good reason not to go to ND.

Notre Dame bitching about the ACC not supporting them is so arrogant and tone deaf it's almost unbelievable...but then you remember this is Notre Dame we're talking about.

If Notre Dame was actually in the ACC, they would have made the Playoff. It's their own dumbass ego that kept them out. The ACC doesn't owe them a goddamn thing.

There are always more 2-3 loss teams than undefeated or 1 loss teams, so the more you expand, the more teams will whine

FSU was the main whiner in 2023. UGA had a case that year but they accepted their defeat in the CG (which used to mean something regarding playoff implications).

2025, we have ND, Vandy, Texas, BYU, and probably others I can’t even think of off the top of my head.

Time for a college football version of the NIT? It would attract eyeballs.
