Reminds me of 2021 Nebraska, went 3-9 but lost just about every game by one score except to tOSU but even that game was not a major blowout on the score board (I don’t remember watching so can’t tell if it was one of those games where it wasn’t as close as the final score indicated).

Arkansas and USC could be a challenge but I really think they can win out if the coaches can keep their heads in the hunt. Two close losses can be a bit of snake poison in a season.

Or maybe more so, develop QB talent. Will showed things late last year that he hadn't ever shown at KSU or through much of the season at OSU. We'll never know what Day and Fessler might have done with Leonard that ND didn't.
