Just wanted to add that since 2000, ND is 37th in the nation in win% at 57-40 (.588).

Bowling Green, Southern Miss, BYU, South Florida, Fresno State, Texas Tech, Hawaii, Utah and Toledo are some of the powerhouse names ahead of them on that hallowed list. ND is two wins ahead of Northern Illinois.

That is all.

With Weis standing next to him, anyone aiming for Richt is going to miss, probably badly. Taking the gravitational field into account, the sniper ought to be aimimg about 12 feet to Randy SHannon's left if they want to hit Richt.
I don't know about that, because if you aim 12 feet to the left, then Richt is shielded not only by Weis, but also Tommy Tuberville's ears.

Reprint of Gipper speech to be part of Rockne estate deal

July 1, 2008
CBSSports.com wire reports

NEW YORK -- An authentic reprint of Knute Rockne's "Win one for the Gipper" speech is now being sold as part of a deal with the former Notre Dame coach's estate.
Notre Dame Collectibles by Steiner Sports has acquired an exclusive line that also includes Rockne's photos and other original products through an exclusive multi-year deal with the Rockne Estates.
"I am thrilled to have Notre Dame Collectible's by Steiner Sports working with our family," said Rockne's son, Jack Rockne. "This unique partnership will allow Notre Dame fans to be part of a truly unique and special line of product, the first of its kind. It will be very exciting for Notre Dame fans and football collectors alike."
The famous "Gipper" speech which told about the death Notre Dame player George Gipp was first made by Rockne -- to inspire his team at halftime during the 1928 game against the U.S. military academy -- and then immortalized by Ronald Reagan in the movie "Knute Rockne: All American."
