If you define "in the hunt" loosely, it would be Chris Brown, who finished 8th in the 2002 vote. Other than that, you have to go back to Rashaan Salaam in '94.

Alabama loves its college football but both of their schools are mascot challenged. Alabama has an elephant and Auburn has a tiger but their cheer is "war eagle."

Brady will be passing a lot now... maybe he'll show just how average he can be and throw some picks ... be nice for him to take himself right out of the Heisman race.

ND clearly doesn't belong in a BCS bowl. beating GA TECH and the service academies isn't what we call really tough competition...
