Notre Dame 23, Syracuse 24 (Final)

I'm surprised there's not much chatter over here about the snowballs being thrown at their own team. Talk about a major embarrassment for a program that likes to believe they're above such behavior.

I was expecting a little more faux outrage

Here is my pick of the bunch: From thread titled - The "fans" who threw the snowballs.

Re: The "fans" who threw the snowballs

The kid who threw the snowball that hit the player in the head is the owner of the best arm in South Bend.
Brutal - it was also meant to be a big week for visiting recruits / commits (you know, easy win, in the bag, show them the whole ND family atmosphere). There are some who worry (correctly) that this may cause some to have second thoughts.

looked real good for the recruits who were there as well. I'm sure that other coaches will use that as ammo. Don't be surprised if you lose a few verbals over this. The snowballs could have a bigger impact than the loss.
Know what is most odd? - Both posts were made from the same account.

NBC announcers made it sound like this was a "massive upset" after the game. No doubt it's an upset, but it's no where near a big upset or one of the biggest upsets of the year. Both of these teams are terrible and neither team has won a game against a respectable foe.

Charlie and the Irish fans' egos rubbed off on their players. All ND had to do was show up and Syracuse was going to roll over. Now the 6-5 Irish face 1-loss USC in LA next week. Ouch.

Still think the Cotton or Gator Bowls take a 6-6 Notre Dame team?

Rumor in the ATL is that Georgia Tech might play Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl (if Tech doesn't go to the ACC title game in Tampa).

With a month to prepare - Tech's offense would steamroll the Irish.

Ah shit. I failed to set Tivo to record the ND classic. Anybody Tivo or DVD the game? I'd love to have a copy to keep me in grins in February.

If USC wants any kind of shot at the BCS championship bowl they beter beat the livin' snot out of Charlie Puddfucker and the Irish.
