This is a different year from 2006 for sure. Different coach, different offense, and less experience on that offense. I expect State to be favored, especially considering they've come out tough this year. Win or lose, I hope Michigan State sits at the 50 and prevents any flag staking again this year
Funny thing I just thought of...John L Smith kinda sealed his fate in that '06 game against ND. After his meltdown/rant against OSU in '05 and his antics with slapping himself after the ND game and blown games he was certain to get canned. When he gets canned they take Dantonio and Kelly moves up into the vacancy at Cinci. Gotta wonder if this game and one or two others had gone differently and John L Smith had kept his job, maybe Kelly would still be coaching at the lower level and wouldn't have the ND job. This game could have been a catalyst of sorts, maybe not.

Just like in the Tennecheat-Floriduh game, if you give an average-at-best QB (in this case Crist) more than 5 seconds to throw, he will eventually find someone to throw it too.....
