North Carolina vs. Ohio State, Saturday, 1:30 PM, CBS

Ten minutes later, almost 60 seconds have ticked off the clock.

Yeah, the rules are fine. Who would want to avoid this exciting foul-o-rama, even when the game isn't that close?

Bucks lose, 86-72.

well, this went about exactly as I expected.

our quality depth is nonexistent right now, which killed us in the first half with all the foul trouble on CJ, Tate, and KBD.

KBD played amazing to put up the numbers he did and barely played in the first half. I think Holtmann was a little over-cautious there, you don't want to get in a hole against a team like UNC. CJ was really good, too. Tate had 9 and 9, can't be made at that going against a bigger more talented team like the Tarheels.

but everyone else gave us next to nothing. Jallow was bad. Kam was worse. Andre is really limited. Dakich did what he could but got abused on D by Felton, who shot those three killer back-to-back 3s right over him.

Potter and Young were total non-factors.

very concerned about next season if KBD is gone. they guys we have coming back besides CJ aren't inspiring a ton of confidence. our incoming class is good but not good enough to be relied on for a lot of production right away. Khavon Moore could help a lot, he would add some real offensive talent and versatility on the wing with the size to match-up against primo teams like the one we played today.

Can't watch basketball unless I have it recorded. The last 2 minutes are an abomination. And there are so many simple solutions.

But the most impressive part of today's game was the crowd. Midseason neutral sites are such a good idea.

The Bucks only have 3 BIG ten bodies with the skill to go along with it in KBD, Tate and K. Wesson. We just don't have guys capable of lighting up a team offensively. Our guards got manhandled at both ends of the court yesterday. No balance or depth, just a bunch of guys who are gap fillers. With Tate and likely KBD gone next year, it could be a rough rebuilding process for Holtmann. With that said, I think he'll right the ship and get the Bucks back on track...just might take some patience by the fan base :panic:

I honestly am not discouraged over this game. Hung with a very good UNC team for a ways and yes, depth is clearly an issue. But it is an issue that is fixed with time and recruiting, so I am not worried on that. The guys are playing hard and just need to keep coming along.

We are far enough into the season where I can say that we are playing better than I thought we would be...coming into this year, I would have chalked this up as a 30 point loss. Instead, we are 10-4 and undefeated in the conference. There were forgettable moments, sure, but I just don't think the team is doing anything except overachieving at this point. This team was a dumpster fire when CH took over and I honestly think CH is doing a good job thus far.

Do not tell Holtman this because he was very unhappy with the effort that they put forth against Fredo yesterday.
OSU went through some two-a-day practices following the North Carolina loss a week ago. Saturday, Holtmann said after the Buckeyes defeated Miami that he was not thrilled with some of the practices.

The warning signs he saw came true in the second half as Ohio State's 17-point lead was cut down to just three.

"I thought at times, more than at times, they were more physical than we were," Holtmann said. "We've got to answer the bell better than we did today in terms of just playing with more physicality.
