Non-Playoff Bowl Games Discussion Thread

Not gonna lie, that was a pretty damn entertaining game that went down to the last play and it seemed like it actually meant something to both teams. There were actually fans in the stands too. As hokey as it is, the Pop Tarts Bowl is doing it right.

I’m being serious when I say these bowls are actually fun again. This is what it should be.

Considering like 10 eligible teams opted it out it has been a pretty entertaining bowl season so far.

Good games all around yesterday.

The lone game on Monday is definitely a product of all those opt outs though. 2 sun belt teams, 1 5-7 in a rematch of a game already played this year

Tuesday brings Illinois vs Tennessee and USC vs TCU which should be entertaining.

Sooner or later the SEC SEC SEC sisterfucking morons will resume sucking their own dicks about how tough their conference is....right now we're entering EXCUSE SEASON

They pimped Missouri big time as a "quality win" for Bama and OU.

Missouri did not beat a single team with a winning record.

Missouri had both their RBs who combined for 2400 and 22 TDs playing last night and still only managed 7 points against Virginia.....won't stop the "durrr doesn't mean anything" excuses though.

Virginia is definitely outside of the top 5 if they played all season in the B1G or SEC the ACC is only marginally better than the AAC this year.

All the same, it was fun as shit to watch Mizzou get man-balled by Virginia last night all over the field

Virginia was without their star RB too, but you won't hear any of the usual hacks mention that, only what Missouri didn't have.

Missouri QB started the last 3 games and had all kinds of time to prep for this game. It wasn't a Ohio State vs Missouri bowl game type situation even though that's what they are trying to make it out to be. They also had both of their stud RBs playing as noted before

The SEC knob gobblers spend all year claiming that teams like Missouri and LSU would be national title contenders in any other conference, then when they lose to said other conference teams in bowl season want to claim that the games dont matter. Annually predictable

If you go back to old old threads, I made one about BCS facts for your SEC friends. It was about 20 years ago now.

I showed the exact same type of thing- the matchups were almost always a higher placed, higher ranked SEC team playing an underdog Big Ten team in the SEC home footprint.

Oddly enough, ESPN and SEC dick swingers never acknowledged it. They just pointed to the same Bowl scoreboard that @BB73 just showed and that was it.
