Yes, SSX Blur is good, though Super Paper Mario hit the shelves last week and the reviews are off the charts. Haven't played it yet, but I plan on picking it up this week.

I don't have Blur, but I think Paper Mario is a great game. It's a little on the easy side though. I am on the second to last level and haven't died once yet, and I'm not a "hardcore" gamer at all. The puzzles are pretty simple too, but get tricky enough about half way through the game to keep you interested. Since there are RPG elements in the game there is a lot of text reading involved, but the story is pretty funny at times. Although I own only a few Wii games so far this has been my favorite except for Zelda by far. Basically if you don't mind a game with text and on the easy side of games you should get it.

In other words, if you bought the SNES just to play Super Mario World 15 years ago, you'll like this.

in other words, it's aimed at the same demographic happy meals are.
Buying happy meals pinches a lot of pennies to spend later on video games ...

Yes it is a great game, but too short IMO. It'll take you awhile to do every little thing in the game, lots of collecting, but the main 8 worlds wont take you long at all. Trouble is, I'm more anxious for Mario Galaxy then before.

It took me 20 hours to beat it. I think that's a fair amount of time for a platform style game. I don't really see the need to make the game much longer, because I'm not sure what more could have been done with it. At least there are other great games coming before Galaxy like SSMB for instance.

I thought SSMB was listed as quarter 3 while Galaxy was quarter 4, but I could be wrong.
That list is missing quite a few titles though (MP3 and an alleged Mario Golf). I've heard October for Galaxy, and that list only shows Madden 08, FIFA, and The Sims from EA, despite their own declaration that there would be well more than that for '07.

The issue Ninty is trying to deal with is spacing out their own first party titles so that their third party developers don't pitch a fit about having to compete with Mario. The manufacturing capacity has to be ramped up too, because devs aren't going to want to publish a game today for 7M Wii owners if they can publish it in December for 16M Wii owners. Launching now in the midst of a hardware shortage limits the publishers' reach.

My biggest disappointment is that there doesn't appear to be any MLB licensed baseball game for this year. That sucks.

Bandai launch photo for new Japanese DS title named 'Kekkaishi: Karasumori Ayakashi Kidan.'

Yeah, this is only marginally Nintendo related, but I wanted to post this picture for B-Max. How's that weak-sauce 360? Does Microsoft have Asian dominatrixes at their launch parties?
