Random question, why does Milwaukee not have an NHL team?
Too close to Chicago would be my guess. The NHL is more market driven than most other leagues.
Nashville/Tampa was a fun game. Excellent start to the season!
Indeed. Crosby v. Bedard should be fun, too. I got a kick out of Fleury tripping the kid in that shootout the other night. "Welcome to the NHL, kid."

Fantilli got blasted the other night, too. Sent his stick flying about ten feet in the air. Took it like a champ, though.

The expansion candidates seem to be Portland, Oklahoma City, Salt Lake City, Houston, Atlanta, Quebec.

I think the next round of expansion will be Houston and Atlanta, personally. But I'm an idiot. Previous ownership in Atlanta was awful. They have a better arena location selected too (apparently).

Why would they go back to Atlanta??

They weren't trying to win the first time around. No playoff wins in their entire existence, routinely outspent by every other team (including the early CBJ), tried to sign all the black players to pander to an audience instead of ice a winning roster. Arena location was apparently awful. It was peak Braves/Falcons era too.

Just a shitshow. I don't know if it will work or not, but it was destined to fail the first time around.

That was the second time around. The Flames were originally in Atlanta for 8 years before moving to Calgary. That they're even considering a third time shows how market-thirsty the NHL is. They'd rather take a third crack at the Atlanta market than go to a city with a smaller market that would embrace and fully support a franchise *cough* Quebec City *cough*

You're right, I did forget about the first try.

Big Stanley Cup celebration in Vegas, sucking each other's cocks pregame for what they did last year. Didn't they have a parade?

Curious to see how they play after it.
