Don’t get me wrong as I wouldn’t trade a sweep against one of the best regular season teams in NHL history, but this San Jose-Vegas series has been WILD. It’s a shame it has to end tonight. I wish these two teams would play a best of 100.

San Jose, down 3 goals to nothing, draws a 5 minute power play. Couture scores twice on the same power play (separate shift). San Jose nets 4 goals in the span of 4:45 game time.

Bizarre game.

Eakin's goal should not have counted, it seemed like a clear high stick

Eakin's penalty probably should have been 2 minutes and it ended up costing them 4 goals.

Pavelski got cross checked twice by two separate VGK players. At best, that was a double minor. Can’t really say I blame the refs for making that call. You don’t commit dumb shit like that up 3-0 with 10 minutes left in Game 7.

Seemed like the second guy just incidentally hit him

Wow, I've seen worse hits get 2 minutes.

Accidental or not, that’s an easy call for the refs to make. If they were to revisit that call, maybe a double minor. But the majority of the damage had already been done in those 4 minutes.

Even if they go double minor, after 1 goal they're down to 2 minutes of remaining PP time. The second goal means the end of the PP.

Calling it a major was a huge difference. Rare to see that sort of call in the 3rd period of game seven.
