NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

Just a li'l Christmas gripe... From now, through Saturday, that's 5 games I can't see because they are on NFLX, NFLX, NFLN, AMZN, PEAC and I have no desire to be chained to my couch watching tv the rest of my life, much less throw all that money away on subscriptions. This is batshit insane. Football is the one thing people want to watch on tv now, so let's be sure to squeeze every possible penny (oops, nickel) of discretionary income from them just to let them do that, and take every minute of their free time in the process.

If they can't exist without slithering their way into the football money pit, maybe they're not needed. If they can't create stuff worth watching maybe they should just go away.

Football fans are being reminded life is still good, despite being blacked out from several crucial games (can't even see updates while watching other games), so maybe the effect is the opposite of what NFL intended.
