NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

So basically he alienated a sucky QB and one that might be mediocre? Well Ross better hope That turns into something. Otherwise firing a decent coach for some scrub QBs is gonna look terrible
In two years, I've yet to see anything from Tua that leads me to believe he's more than a middling QB. That said, when Ryan Tannehill is the best QB you've had since Marino before he aged out some 25 years ago, middling might not be too bad all things considered. But, I thought Flores did a pretty decent job the last two seasons without much to work with. They won 8 of their last 9 games for God's sake.

There's a reason Miami has only 2 playoff berths in 20 years and haven't won a playoff game since 2000. Toxic ownership.

Giants Fire Judge a day late for some weird reason
I don't know if Judge was worth a damn, but I also don't know how you can fault him for the 2 poor seasons they've had when he has a shit roster to work with. They've had one of the worst rosters in the NFL for several years now.

There are a lot of franchises that occupy the "shit tier" of the NFL and it's because they never give a coach a chance to turn things around. They all change head coaches every 2 to 3 years and are stuck in a perpetual rebuilding cycle. The Giants are one of those teams.

Browns’ fans say, “Hey.”

I believe Tannehill is the starting quarterback for the top seed in the AFC, apparently he is more than just middling. If Baker had just been decent the Browns win at least 10 games and make the playoffs.

He’s undergone a career rejuvenation in Tennessee, but he was certainly nothing special in Miami. Probably didn’t help that he had 5 offensive coordinators in 7 years.

I agree he should have been fired I just don't know why you do that Tuesday instead of Monday

The Mara's/Giants organization is very conservative when it comes to making coaching changes and probably dragged their feet in making this decision to try to rationalize keeping Judge. Which really illustrates how terrible the last 3 coaches have been (Mcadoo, Shurmer, Judge) that they only got 2-3 years each.

The Texans join the shit-tier after firing that dude they hired last year after one season.

25% of the league is now looking for a new head coach.

Seriously...yes the Texans were bad. But you hired a guy 12 months ago, apparently thinking he was good enough. Now, you fire him after one bad season with Tyrod Taylor and Davis fucking Mills as his QB? Your best RB was Rex Burkhead. The roster was full of detritus because your dumb asses gave Bill O'Brien oversight of the roster and he burnt it to the ground on the way out the door.

The NFL is full of retarded goons for front offices.

Hell, the team finished 4-12 in 2020 and that was with Deshaun Watson. Yeah, the Texans really didn't upgrade the roster from 2020 and were set up for failure this past season. Finishing 4-13, he still wasn't last in the AFC South, I guess he can thank Urban Meyer for that. Surprisingly he beat the Titans who have the AFC "bye" this weekend; which does goes to prove...."on any given Sunday"....etc.
