NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

So the NFL's officials are either blisteringly incompetent or the outcome of games is being "guided." Not sure which is worse

Marketing results have clearly indicated that Mahomes is the most marketable QB to replace Brady.

Corporate policy has been updated accordingly. Just like the Swift thing-they know they have a demographic segment watching/paying that isn't just white guys over 40.

NFL is a marketing machine that exists to promote it's brand. It does not exist to simply display the game of football being played (fairly) on any given day of the week. All they have to do is be somewhat mindful of it being so blatant that they lose relevance with people and for an idea of just how far you can take that and still make billions upon billions-see the NBA.

So I’m more of a CFB fan than NFL and I am aware of that bias, but is it just me, or has this nfl season kind of sucked so far?

Lots of bad qb play, so many truly terrible teams (giants, broncos, bears, patriots, jets, etc), and the prime time SNF and MNF games have by large mostly been flops.

Lots of blow outs too, at least the Dolphins 70-20 win was interesting because of 70 points being scored, but the rest of the blow outs have been snooze fests.

And yeah, the annoying obsession with Taylor swift and terrible refereeing.
