NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

t's almost like Turpin was in the wrong spot....if hes over behind the linemen it would have made more sense.
The way dak was running it almost looked like they designed the hook and lateral for him. Or maybe it was for zeke and he wasn't supposed to get bull rushed. Etiher way the only way that play makes sense is a hook and lateral to guy ruinning full speed behind some lineman

On the second part, that play would never have been designed with Zeke as a trail pitchman, it would have been installed for Pollard, who would have also taken every rep. Zeke was just a decoy. Also, to his credit, his snap out of the pistol was fine, so it appears he’d repped it.

I agree that somebody was getting a pitch, but it got blown up so fast we never saw the option develop. I just think we can rule out Zeke as the option. He lost his fifth gear three seasons ago.

I'm not sure he's ever had it in the NFL which is the damnedest thing. He still has power and vision but he's basically never busted the long ones at the NFL level that he did at Ohio State vs NFL talent

Just sayin': Paying a player (or 2 or 3) really big bucks sure doesn't guarantee any championships. Only 2 players (Mahomes & Brown) on the top 25 paid list have a chance to play in the SuperBowl. In addition, based on their performance this season there were sure a lot of overpaid players, etc. Yeah I know, most were QBs and a team needs a "franchise QB"; however, several teams sure didn't get their moneys worth in the QB that they signed.
