NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

There's a damn good reason Kyle Shanahan is one of my favorite coaches in the NFL.

His teams usually play over their heads and the guy crafts great offenses having minimum high pick draft capital spent on skill positions.
He might be the best offensive mind in the NFL. My only beef with him as a HC is that at times, he gets a bit stubborn with his playcalling and simply will not deviate from his game plan if it isn’t working. Given the amount of injuries he’s dealt with the past two years, he’s done pretty damn well. It’s not a coincidence that the one season his team stayed relatively healthy, they went 13-3 and came within a biscuit of winning the SB.

I actually think Garappolo holds his offenses back a bit. Trey Lance, if he reaches anything near his potential, could make them really fun to watch.

Still surprised they didn’t draft Fields.

I’m pretty sure Lynch wanted Mac Jones and Shanahan made a compelling argument for Lance and Lynch trusted his guy. Also pretty sure Shanahan wanted Mac Jones until he dove deep into Lance’s tape.

I want to say that Lynch did an interview on The Rich Eisen show and talked about it.

That being said, I agree. I think Lance and Fields will end up pretty similar, but Fields would have been such a perfect fit in SF.
