NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

It sounded like you were giving him a pass bc of the depleted roster........that he depleted.

He doesn’t get credit for making the most out of a mess he created. He is held to a higher standard than Harbaugh(Jim).

Bill felt it was time to move on from Brady and secure their long-term future. Packers did the same thing with Rodgers. Brady moved on to a stacked Bucs team who basically just needed a QB to not turn the ball over.

Gronk retired, then un-retired to play with Brady. Then Edlemen retired and has stayed that way. The roster beyond those two has been a collection of "who?" players that fill certain roles with Brady acting as a brilliant distributor.

I would hardly call the 2 biggest weapons you had retiring something that BB "depleted". Certainly not easy to replace a HOF TE, an elite Z receiver along with one of the greatest QB's to ever play.

I'm not BB fan, but I see another foundation being put down for a team that can sustain long-term success. Their trench play has improved from last year, their secondary is greater than the sum of it's parts and the offense, despite having a rookie and even more "who?" skill players, has been slowly showing improvement over the course of the 1st half of this season. Belichick is a great coach, Brady is one of the best ever. Things two things can both be simultaneously possible and it seems like most people don't seem to understand that.

So you have no actual substance with your rebuttal to my comments on losing Brady, Gronk or Eldemen then I take? 2 of those 3 hardly being BB's "fault". Can we at least agree on that?
Was it a surprise when the old folks left? He has had plenty of time to get replacements. He couldn't even get competent pieces when Brady was still there for a while now. Not having anybody left on offense is nobody's fault but his.

Metcalf goes after a Hall of Famer and Super Bowl champion, who now makes his living talking on TV. Maybe he really is a dumb ass?

Fuck Taylor Lewan. As much of a shitstain that he is, I still wouldn’t I wish injury on him. But if he’s going to dive headlong into the pile like that, better him injured than some unsuspecting dude for the head team getting blocked by him.
