NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

Lance getting his first start away against Jones, JJ and nasty secondary of the undefeated Cards that boat raced Rams, with Kittle doubtful. Is there any reason I shouldn't bet my life savings on the Cards -5.5? :nerd:
There's no film on him yet, so maybe the 9ers gameplan throws the cards off and he runs for 100+ and 2 scores, and throws for 150 and 1 more?

He played most of the 4th against the Seahawks. Exactly like you would expect for a rookie QB. Passes going into double coverage lucky to be broken up and not picked, and he can scramble for some yardage. Cards D is used to defending a running QB in practice. Only difference is Trey seems to run it up the gut while KM is usually running from the edges.

Cards are missing a key CB, but from what I saw with trey, for his first rookie start, the threat isn't as likely to come from the air.

NFL is going the way of the college game.

First call is against the Jets on a bullshit roughing flag. Announcers trying to say linebacker landed with his full weight on Matty Ice. Clearly shows the defender cocking to the side and putting his hands down to help brace the fall.

This is getting practically unwatchable now with these calls, in addition to already being unlistenable thanks to Collinsworth.
Football as a whole is getting really hard to watch. From the horrific officiating to the the more stringent rules (which, I get it, safety…I’m not against it, it just makes it less fun to watch). I’m sitting here with preseason hockey on the tv as I follow the game online.
