Michael Thomas had 149 receptions last season. This season he was injured and caught only 40 passes when healthy.

He still doesn't have a catch today. Has to be frustrating for him. I know this fantasy manager was frustrated.

I think that's not really his opinion. Brady often provides effusive praise to his teammates just because it is a good leadership tactic, I don't think he really means what he says when he does it. Brady also told Edelman that when he returned a punt for TD, he was the greatest return man in NFL history. Delusional praise of teammates is part of the act.
