So glad that the NFL sees fit to use a coin flip to help determine whether or not a HOF QB gets to touch the ball in a playoff OT.

Why do I bother with this garbage league?

Quit your bitching sir and worry more about why the D left freaking Larry Fitzgerald all alone. College overtime where each team gets the ball already in field goal range is garbage.

Why should I have to worry about that? I'm a neutral fan who just wanted to continue to be entertained. Any overtime format that doesn't give both teams a chance to play on both sides of the ball is bad. No other sport does that. I never suggested they adopt the college format - there are many other ways to go about having an overtime that isn't arbitrary and stupid.

Except you know hockey and soccer which both have sudden death rules. Now it's unlikely one team controls the ball/puck the whole period before it scores but happens rarely.

The NFL OT is ridiculous. I don't give too much of a fuck about the NFL, but it's crazy that a playoff game goes to OT and instead of both teams getting a shot with the future HOF'ers they're paying millions to, the game is decided by the most insignificant, easily replaceable, lowest paid starter on the team.

It's like going to a 3 star restaurant you have to make reservations 6 months in advance, and bringing a McValue Meal and asking the chef to nuke it.

my general issue with both college and pro football OT methods is that it alters the basic strategy of the game.

Football is about capturing territory while working against a clock. I get the realities of player safety and tv schedules but the "fair" way would be to play another full quarter imo.
