Next Year's (2007) QB Situation?

In my mind, Boeckman is clear-cut third stringer right now, and as such will most likely be the leader going into next year's camp. Tressel loves seniority and experience, and Boeckman has that. He'll be going into his fourth year in the system, and will have most likely gotten most of the garbage time duties this season. Schoenhoft will get but a few snaps this year as fourth-stringer, while Henton is all but assured to redshirt, so there will be little to no returning game experience outside of Boeckman.

I see two situations in regards to the garbage time:
1) Tressel puts Zwick in for being a loyal player in the system
2) Tressel puts Boeckman in to gain some more game experience for next year.

Being one who rewards seniority and role-players I see Tressel putting Zwick in first then in very large blow-outs (hopefully there will be a few this year) putting Boeckman or Schoenhoft in very late in the game. Some may argue this isn't the way to develop for the future but I see it as rewarding Zwick for all the hard work he has put into this program.

BTW, I'm in the camp with Boeckman getting the start next year.

Next year's QB discussion (Split from Pittman thread)

He's gonna have his chance with alot more of the load on him next season. By the way is there any talk of who's gonna be the QB for next year?

What do you base that on? Until Henton can get off the scout team he wont be N01, until then Boeckman is.
:oh:

Allow me to rephrase:
I put them in reverse order of the depth chart.. its beckmans job if troy & zwick went down today, but i would like to see robby start the season next year.. im basing that off of what i've heard regaurding the two.

Henton will have to wait in line unless his progression is unreal (which i have heard from some it is) IMO

Not to be picky, but it is Boeckman...

No worries man.

I'd personally love to see Henton some, and I really like Robbie... Seems to me like Boeckman is a little of a safe bet (not unlike Zwick) but Robbie and Henton have maybe a higher potential...

I don't really know though as I have seen next to nothing of all 3 of them down here in MD

That's about as much as I've seen of them
From what I've read Henton is going thru the normal freshman year and hasn't done anything that catches him up with or moves him past anyone.
