Don't count Schiano out. He's literally putting together a top 10 recruiting class (and that's not a top ten B1G class). He had them on the verge once, and I won't rule it out that he does it again. Are they going to push us aside? No, but I actually see a situation where he pushes tsun back into fourth in the division and challenges the pedsters for second.

Rutgers getting in over tsun and the pedsters would literally be the greatest thing ever. I'd have to go to the ER for an erection lasting longer than four hours. As long as it's not at Ohio State's expense, I'm actually rooting for it: a one-loss top 10 Rutgers team that doesn't win the East (because THEE does) getting an at-large would be fucking phenomenal.

Plus the Tennessee hillbillies would get their face rubbed in it all over again.

I am ABSOLUTELY here for it. My dream is that the other 13 members of the B1G all make the playoff before TTUN and TTUN never does.

I see you are a glass half empty kind of person.
It's more that the Raritan Rejects are so far behind everyone else in the Big 10, combined with being in the same division as Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State- it's a big ask for them the compete for a playoff spot.

He had them on the verge in a Big East that was on it's way out.

You could have / should have stopped with the first team you listed, and I can understand why you listed the third team. But Rutgers isn't going to lose every time they go into 3 overtimes against someone. I'd say that the second team you listed is far from a road block. They're maybe the stalled car on the shoulder that most teams can swerve around. Yeah, Rutgers may have trouble with it most years, but that's more to do with Rutgers than with M*ch*gan.

Yeah, that sounds great, but really now: Do you actually want Harbaugh to get fired? I'm thinking that you have to throw TTUN a crumb (like be the 12th seed and get blown out in the first playoff game) every so often so Harbaugh keeps his job.

Penn State always seems to beat someone they have no business beating. Under most circumstances, I don't give a shit if they win or lose- but if they win 1 game, I hope they whip Auburn's ass.

Yeah, but happily; they also lose to a team they have no business losing to......

Re: I hope they whip Auburn's ass.

Game time is set at 7:30 PM, do you think that will be their "white out" game?

If Penn State beats Auburn, will Auburn be relegated to C-USA?

No, you can't punish a team just because they lose a meaningless non-conference game in which their heart was not completely in it. Oh, and there were probably some really bad calls that hurt Auburn too.

If Auburn does win, it will be a clear indicator of the SEC's top-to-bottom superiority over the vastly inferior B1G.
