John Calipari was a huge flop as coach of the Nets but he might be headed back to the NBA. NY POST reports the Kentucky coach is on the radar to replace Mike D?Antoni as coach of the New York Knicks. Calipari might also have a front office role. Calipari had a 72-112 record as coach of the Nets in the mid 90′s.

No way Calipari leaves his legendary incoming freshmen class.

To Knicks fans, sorry, but get used to this. The game 3 atmosphere in MSG was epic. But laying eggs in playoff games is a trademark of Melo teams, I have watched it for years. Oh, Melo will have monster games in the regular season and in the playoffs and dazzle you with his abilities to make the most amazing shots, but often in losing efforts. I know you think it will get better as this team "gels", but the isolation offense and lackluster D is not the way to win championships. In your heart, you know I am right.

New York 131
Toronto 118

Classic example of why the Knicks will be lucky to get out of the first round of the playoffs. How many scores like that do you see in them?

Knicks ended up being the only team to get swept in the first round. :slappy:

Seriously, Amare and Dantoni have danced before but now they have Melo? That trio is all flash and no substance. Spike Lee can dress up as cute as he likes and that core isn't winning anything of significance.

If it wasn't already obvious to some last season it is brutally obvious to everyone now that Melo going to New York improved the Nuggets and derailed the improvement track the Knicks were on with Gallinari and Chandler. Denver fleeced them in that trade.

Even with Chandler stupidly stuck in China until March this season, the Nuggets are 13-5 while New York is 7-11. The Knicks have names, which makes dumbasses like Spike Lee happy. Denver is winning games, which makes fans with half a clue happy.

Pretty much entrenched now or stuck with the kid, if Knicks games are being added to TV in Asia now.

The NBA says Thursday its Asian TV partners have added Knicks games to their broadcast schedules following the emergence of Lin, the first American-born NBA player of Chinese or Taiwanese descent.
Not that Lin being entrenched is wrong, since he's held his weight since starting. Going to be interesting to see how everything changes when Carmelo and Stoudemire are back in that line-up (Carmelo will demand his shots).
