Thought we looked very good in the new unis. I actually like the Buckeyes ribbon runnin along the back. Very stylish. Of course it makes them look better when our guys are flying through the air over top of the opponent.

Thought this was amusing:

Clearly not worried about any kind of curse -- the Buckeyes were 10-17 in their last gray season, 1996-97 -- coach Thad Matta told the Columbus Dispatch, "I just like them in scarlet and gray." He then offered an alternate explanation: "'I told coach [Jim] Tressel I was going to tell you guys that when they took the gray out of the sleeves of the football uniforms -- which has really hurt the team -- that we just got all the leftover material. He told me, 'If you say that, I'll kill you.'" After week Tressel just had, he could probably get away with it.

May be a little late to make my point (new to site) but I LOVE the home alternates!!! The all gray jerseys. I was half temped to buy one at the local Buckeye Room in the mall the first time I saw them!

You did not over-react. The new jerseys and these basketball singlets are inspired by the same Nike nut job who made Oregon's colors black, gold and a twist of lime.
