Same goes for me. I like the guitar riffs and the drums, but I can do away with the growl type of singing.

I have to resent that bro. I guess it's a matter of taste and if it wasn't for Metallica where and the hell do you think Slipnot got there influence from. Bro Death Magnetic is kick ass and Metallica is back. Sure they put a few cd's out that was kinda lame, which many of the hardcore fans gave up on them after the Black album. The music scene has changed over the years, but Metallica is still God when it comes to Metal.

I didnt say anything about old Metallica. I said they suck now :biggrin: I absolutely love Kill em' All, RTL, Puppets, Justice. I honestly didnt even think the black album was that great, and everything they have released since it has been total crap. Of course I will give the new one a listen, but I have completely lost faith in them.

I can more than do away with it, Slipknot is awful because of it.

He sings alot in the new one. Corey has a really good voice, and I agree that I would like to see him use it more. So far most of the new album sounds like old metallica. It's great.

I agree. Occasionally they do and it sounds good but it doesn't last long. That kind of "vocal" ruins it for me, and lends itself to the Carpathian Forest and Gorgoroth references.

I really will never argue about the growling vocals. I am not a huge fan of it either. I guess the music is just more important to me than the vocals.

That said, they sound nothing like that black metal crap :)

That video is awesome on so many levels (in an unintentional comedy way). I was very impressed with the farmer's tan on the blond guitarist.

To be honest, I am surprised a band like that would have that many fans in the crowd.

I'm all about the music, which is why I can't stand shitty vocals getting in the way.
