What's wrong with someone being downfield?

Same rules as a pass I think. Anyone who isn't an illegible receiver can't go downfield until the ball is punted. I guarantee that at least a player or two had taken off to cover before that ball was punted.

The officials are quite literally gift wrapping that game for them. It's beyond disgusting. We're talking wvu-pitt 2007 level, except Ferentz, unlike DickRod, is compitent enough to capitalize.

Ok, I i always noticed that they never released 'till the ball was away, but didn't know it was illegal, and have never seen it called before.
