Our church has no bells.
After completely exploding my personal life last year (as most of you know), I've decided to blow up my career in 2006. I've taken a new job and while it scares the hell out of me, I think it would be more scary to let the opportunity pass.
I'm walking out on a cushy gig with the 3rd biggest firm in Atlanta for a new firm a good friend whom I respect started about a year ago. They're up to about twenty lawyers now and after six months of talking, I'm making the jump. I'm trading cushy security with glacial advancement potential for marginal security and bright upside.
The biggest downside I can think of is that I won't get to come up to Columbus for St. Pat's. Everything else seems to be a positive or negative trade-off depending on one's perspective. I'd be interested in everyone's thoughts/counsel/advice/warnings/cautions/perspectives/experiences.
