I didn't have that plugin installed. Repost for a sec so I can see what it was and kick your butt if appropriate. :biggrin:

EDIT: Nevermind... I can't play the files in Firefox or IE for some reason. I think I will consider this a lucky escape. :p

I don't think we can make one giant category for all Christmas music. Yes, some of it makes me want to use an ear drill, and I agree that the newer stuff is awful, but I think that's just because new pop music sucks in general. Of course Britney Spears' Christmas music is horrible. Britney's "music" sucks period.

On the other hand, I enjoy stuff like BuckeyeTillIDie's pick, because I enjoy Frank Sinatra. And you can give me the Vienna Boys Choir singing O Tannenbaum any day, along with most other traditional Christmas music.

As far as the whole "simply having a wonderful Christmas time" garbage is concerned, I think it's just evidence that Mark David Chapman shot the wrong Beatle.

I remember some Snoopy and the Red Baron song, but I don't recall it having anything to do with Christmas. Are you talking about the one with lyrics something like "ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty or more... The bloody Red Baron was rollin' up the score...?" Was that a Christmas song?

Allow me-- Sort of three incarnations of this by the Royal Guardsman, the first is the song they wrote that Peaches remembers, the second is the follow-up, and the 3rd is from Snoopy's Christmas.

Snoopy Vs The Red Baron

After the turn of the century

Baron von Richthofen was his name

Snoopy's Christmas

The news had come out in the First World War
The bloody Red Baron was flying once more
The Allied command ignored all of its men
And called on Snoopy to do it again.

Twas the night before Christmas, 40 below
When Snoopy went up in search of his foe
He spied the Red Baron, fiercely they fought
With ice on his wings Snoopy knew he was caught.

Ring out from the land
Asking peace of all the world
And good will to man

The Baron had Snoopy dead in his sights
He reached for the trigger to pull it up tight
Why he didn't shoot, well, we'll never know

The Baron made Snoopy fly to the Rhine
