Need help with a summer job(s)

Me and two other friends worked for Stanley Steemer one summer when I was in college. The hours suck as does the work, but you can make some really good money for a college kid. The office is located up in Dublin up by Frantz Rd. (it has been awhile since I have been in the 'bus so I could be wrong). I think we worked from 730am til whenever the last job was done. You get a base hourly rate unless you do enough business and then you get commission.

Jeffcat could not hang at UPS. He currently does not have any offers.

My Take: This is not a top tier prospect. We have reason to believe he is a close friend of TG05.

well i mainly quit there because of academic concerns, although i probably would of anyways after winter quarter. i am not joking i did honestly have the worst job you could have in the place and even the guys on the sort aisle agreed with me. while everybody else was able to control their pace, ride on orange carts, and stand around, i had to stand right at the front of the attack and work my balls off as fast as i could plus i had to take on the load of about 90% of the large z-bags full of small packages inside of them. if you think i am pulling your leg then feel free to apply for my former position.

Jeffcat, check with a few car dealerships. The guys who prepped the vehicles and organized the lot where I worked made decent summer money. Most managed to pick up a used car for near cost while they worked there, which was by far the biggest bonus. Well, that or the Taco Bell lunches I bought 'em as a bribe to park cars for me since I was hiding the fact that I didn't know how to drive manual transmissions.

I already did my time, Slick

Ended up working at Rickenbacker loading the cargo planes.

If the airport job had full benefits, I would still be there. I loved that job.

yea our benefits were pretty nice, although i had no use for most of them. gotta love the employee discounts for papa johns though. i still use them.

You can wash my car and do other odd jobs for me. I pay $5.00 an hour. Graduate from college and I'll bump you up a quarter.
Man, you got old real fast Mr. Wilson.

i would have suggested UPS or fedexground, but didn't realize you weren't man enough for the job.

trust me, the sooner you learn to work and not bitch about it being hard (it is fucking work afterall) the better your life will be

on a more serious note roofing, construction, landscaping sounds like what you need.

I'd suggest teaching English as a Second language - there are plenty of positions overseas.
I've gotten to know many of these folks here in Seoul. They don't make a lot of money (between 25-30K), but don't have to pay rent either. Most of them genuinely enjoy their job. If I wasn't military and was a teacher, I'd do it in a second.
