Need Advice. (New addition to the Buckeye family)

First off, congratulations!
In December, my sister-in-law gave birth to twins about 9 weeks early and they both spent several months in the NICU. In February, my sister gave birth to her daughter a week late, and she spent a week in the NICU, also. It wasn't fun for me, worrying about my nieces and nephew and I can't even begin to imagine what my sister/sister-in-law went through, but you just have to have faith that the doctors and nurses know what they are doing and that most babies come through this no worse for the wear. Best wishes!

NB - I wish I had more to add, but since everyone covered most things, I'll simply leave you with my congratulations, best wishes, and prayers.

FKA - Your sister, nephew, and family will be in my thoughts and prayers as well.

FKA, this was a great place to post that. Just when I think things are bad I read something like that and it helps me keep things in perspective. Thanks to everyone for your well wishes and prayers.

Wanted to update everybody that read my earlier post...my sister ended up having her son early in the morning on June 18th. They have not decided on a name yet, but the boy weight 2 pounds, 14 ounces. He did not have to be intubated, and when they tried giving him a breathing tube he ripped it off...so he is extremely healthy for being born 12 weeks early. The doctors best estimate is he will only need a couple of weeks in the NICU, as opposed to the 10-12 they were originally expecting. My sister is also doing fine, although she had some massive abruption (think that's the word they used), and in hindsight it appears if the baby would have waited any longer my sister could easily have died.

I want to thank everyone here for their thoughts and prayers...looks like the good guys won this one...
