Nebraska vs tOSU, Noon ET, Oct. 24, FOX

Week one: Nebraska
Watching Ohio State and Nebraska fans unite together for a singular cause was beautiful. When the season was “postponed,” Buckeye and Cornhusker fans worked together to fight for transparency. They unified as one singular force, working with one another rather than focussing on individual fandom.

Well, all that friendly shit goes out the window in week one. I am sorry, Nebraska but be prepared for a total and utter ass-kicking. It’s week one, and Ohio State should be playing pissed. Pissed at those who wanted to delay the season, pissed at SEC fans who think that this partial season isn’t enough for playoff voters, pissed at any team who gets in their way.

Particularly in week one, Ohio State needs to make a statement. Sorry Nebraska, you just happen to be first on the list. Please, understand we’ll feel some sympathy as we beat the shit out of you.

This, of course, means that Urban Meyer will be returning to the 'Shoe once again. This will be the third time since retiring as Ohio State's head coach that Meyer has returned to Ohio Stadium as an analyst as Fox's Big Noon Kickoff was onsite for last year's games against Wisconsin and Penn State, as well.

Meyer will of course be joined by host Rob Stone and fellow analysts Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush and Brady Quinn. The broadcast is set to begin at 11 a.m. and will lead into Fox's broadcast of the Ohio State vs. Nebraska game at noon.

NEBRASKA

They think we're friends.

It's no secret Nebraska was one of the Big Ten's most vocal programs to push back at the conference's decision to postpone football. Head coach Scott Frost was bullish on playing this fall, and eight of the team's players sued the league in the hopes of invalidating the cancellation.

Nebraska and Ohio State were arguably the loudest advocates for playing this fall. Buckeyes quarterback Justin Fields created an online petition to play that generated more than 300,000 signatures.

When the Big Ten reversed its decision and released its eight-game fall schedule, the Cornhuskers program felt quite chummy with Ohio State.

Ohio State responded accordingly.

Never forget the Cornhuskers' only win over the Buckeyes as members of the Big Ten in 2011. The reckoning Nebraska fought so hard for is less than two weeks away.

We were out celebrating my birthday, drank the bar out of Yuengling by the 3rd quarter (it was the first week of Yuengling in Ohio), watched Bauserbombs hit everything but a receiver, and I may have blacked out before the end of the game. To paraphrase "The Hangover" it was a night I don't really remember, but one I'll never forget.

Just sayin': Corn is one team that I really don't hate. They have always had a classy fan base. I really wouldn't mind if Corn supplanted Wisky as the powerhouse of the B1G West and lost to Ohio State in the B1G Conference Championship Game every year.
