The thinking around these parts is that Bo was upset because after Martinez was hobbled again he went to the locker room for treatment, and took a cell phone call to his dad, which is an NCAA violation. Add that onto the severe jobbing the refs were doing to the Huskers and it makes for some wild reactions from Bo.

Not the first time a coach and player have gotten into it...

I know kids are kids, but the announcement Ceremony of Jaquille Veli was so painful. Took us half an hour just to find out he was going to stay home and go to Maryland. He picked Maryland over Iowa and Nebraska.

The reason he gave?

"I want the opportunity to play for championships and win games."

MER?!?

Maryland: 6-17 last 2 years under Edsall
Nebraska: 19-8 last 2 years, divisional champs last year and played in the Conference championship game.

Kids, I tell ya. Oh well, best of luck to him.

Look at the bright side, there's a very good chance that Nebraska will have a chance to show him what's what on the field before he graduates.

Heck Maryland fans are already clamoring about how Diggs & Jacobs are going to tear up B1G defenses.

Ask Josh Freeman what happened on the field after his decommitment text message to Nebraska. Granted, that was Cally...but still....

Josh Freeman - 0-3 against UNL. 56 of 109, 51.3% lifetime passing for 706 yards, 3 TDs, 2 picks.

And he made it to the NFL.

I'm sure Maryland will get at least 1 shot at Nebraska before that kid graduates.

And by shot, I mean the Nebraska bus taking a wrong turn in Baltimore, being subject to one of the many drive-by shootings the city offers. Because there is no freaking way that Maryland sniffs a CCG in the next decade. It'd take the physical removal of half of the Nebraska team to equate to what Maryland football looks like right now.

Huskers.com lists Jack as our leading rusher for the game.

The stadium was buzzing again after what had been a pretty boring second half when the little man came out on the field. He got lined up, took the handoff, went down the right sideline and then turned on the afterburners at about the 20. The crowd got as loud as it had been all day at that point, even though about 1/3 had left already.

Both squads left their sidelines to celebrate in the end zone with Jack, and they put him up on their shoulders it was so hard to see the tiny little guy amongst all those huge bodies.

All in all it was a really cool way to end the game. I'm really glad Jack was able to get out there. The little man has been through so much.
