Nebraska Cornhuskers (corn)

Ok, I'll say something about the Harbaugh hire....

It was a home run hire that has turned out to be a bloop single. He had one good year with Brady Hoke's 43 seniors (2016), and has been mediocre-to-awful since then, with an overall record of 29-16 (.644), several huge blowout losses (Ohio State 2018-19; Florida 2018; Alabama 2019; Wisky 2019-20; Penn State 2017; and even freaking Indiana 2020), no bowl victories, no victories over Ohio State, dozens of transfers, and the team quit on the season in 2020. Pretty much the ideal Michigan head coach.

Harbaugh does have three Top-15 finishes, but also has one season were Michigan was 18th (2019) and two where they finished unranked (2017 and 2020). The highest they finished in Harbaugh's six seasons is #10 in 2016, with a record of 10-3.

The lowest Ohio State has finished over the last six years is #6 in 2016. In fact, has lost two games in a year only twice since 2012, with the rest being one-loss seasons and an undefeated season:

2012: 12-0
2013: 12-2
2014: 14-1
2015: 12-1
2016: 12-2
2017: 12-2
2018: 13-1
2019: 13-1
2020: 7-1

So, Harbaugh's best season ever at Michigan is still worse than our worst season since 2012.

Jesus, Mary and Travolta. That is brutal.

Oh, that's happening.

There are fighting odds this happens.

I knew I should've picked Illinois to win. I should have known that Nebraska every year under Frost has entered with such enthusiasm only to see them fall apart.

Not sure what Corn does now but there's no way Nebraska doesn't at least lose 5 more.
You're more optimistic than I am. I'll be shocked if they're better than 3-9.

Agreed

I base that on the fact that Illinois looked bad to me.

Nebraska looked like a collection of athletes that should have destroyed Illinois, but is not close to being able to get out of their own way
They're so bad. Artur Sitkowski came into this game with a career 54.4 completion percentage, 2031 yards, 4.8 ypa, 8 td, 20 int for a dreadful 91.5 qbr. He is objectively a terrible qb. Corn let him, with a 3* army of surrounding "talent", complete 12/15 for 124 yards and 2 td vs 0 int. That's embarrassing.

Oh I agree... there's 5 more guaranteed losses with many other toss up games too.
