Nebraska Cornhuskers (corn)

I usually did 70 to Denver... but its about the same.
Indiana is the worst imo. Every time the truckers take over passing lane ... and dont pass. Doesnt happen anywhere else... no lane usage laws? Not enforced? No idea.
Kansas and Nebraska are so straight you can fall asleep and wake up going straight like Chevy Chase.
That may be true of truckers in Indiana... but.. in Ohio, it's slow ass cars passing nobody just chillin out in the passing lane.

you'd be surprised at the amount of semi's who do this on 70 and 270. i work down near Rickenbacker in what i like to call warehouse city. a lot of these truckers are so frustrating

Hey. If you’re a trucker going 69 behind another semi going 68, you ain’t got no time for driving behind that asshole. I believe you’d die if you didn’t pass him. So you get over and continue to pass him going 69.

In a 70.

While all other traffic is moving at a 75-78 clip.

Sadly, that's America. But in between the big cities there's not enough traffic to completely shut it down.
Even Germany was starting to get that way last year. It's horrible. Can't wait for autonomous driving - not because I'll necessarily use it but because I expect the logic will keep people in the right lane.

Was looking at some comparison stat rankings from 2017-18 UCF and the 2018-19 Huskers.
Although this defense can't stop teams from scoring for some odd reason, I see some things that are trending the same way from UCF's championship year.

Total Defense:
  • UCF - 93rd
  • Huskers - 107th
Total Offense:
  • UCF - 5th
  • Huskers - 13th (currently)
Turnover Margin:
  • UCF - 2nd
  • Huskers - 75th
Completion Percentage:
  • UCF - 5th
  • Huskers - 22nd
Interceptions:
  • UCF - 2nd
  • Huskers - 32nd

Definitely some things trending the right way now.

Seems pretty impressive/unexpected given their year last year (4-8) for it to be already sold out. I guess they won 4 out of their last 6 (although against no one good), with the two losses being close @ OSU and @ Iowa.

Here's the deal around here.

First off - the spring game used to never get more than around 65,000 people in attendance. You could walk right up to the will call, buy a ticket for 8 bucks, get in, no issues.
Since the new renovations (and When Frosty got here), it got unreal. They've had to come up with a new way of selling tickets. They first open the first 65k tickets up to season ticket holders, because, blue hairs.
Season ticket holders swipe up tickets like it's the end of days, leaving about 25-30k tickets for the general public. Ticket scalpers were swiping them up enmasse, so they changed the rules a bit after last year.

Next - for every one adult ticket, you can have a complimentary ticket for those in the 8th grade or below. They get in free, and yes, babies have to have a ticket too.
You can only order a maximum of 10 tickets per customer number, so if you have a youth group (like my church) with about 20 guys, you have to get creative on how to get tickets.
So, let's say I order 5 tickets for adults, and 5 for youth. There's my 10 ticket maximum.

I ended up getting 15 adult tickets, 15 youth tickets, but I had to do the dance of dragons to purchase that many tickets....

It's nuts around here, and Frosty is beloved for obvious reasons around here.

Lastly - if you think going 4-8 last year would have swayed support for Husker football, keep in mind....Nebraska football has been sold out since November 3rd, 1962. Currently sitting at 368 consecutive sellouts.

You sure here there are no Michigan-like shenanigans going on?

Free tickets pad UM's 100K crowd streak
The University of Michigan football program has for years proudly extolled its streak of 100,000-plus crowds at Michigan Stadium games, which is at 258, but preserving that mark last season required an enormous number of complimentary tickets.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska running back Maurice Washington could face charges in California for allegedly sending a video via text message to his former girlfriend of what she says was a sexual assault.

Washington, 19, could be charged under California's "revenge porn" law and face a felony charge of distribution of child pornography, according to a report by NBC Bay Area.

He did not participate in the filming of the video and does not appear in the video. But because the girl was only 15 at the time the video was filmed in 2016, distribution of child pornography charges might apply.

According to a search-warrant affidavit issued in Santa Clara County, the young woman dated Washington while they were students at The King's Academy High School in Sunnyvale, California.

She contacted Washington last year via Instagram to congratulate him on receiving a college scholarship. Washington responded by making sexual advances, according to the affidavit. The young woman responded that she was not interested in a romantic relationship.

On March 2, 2018, Washington sent a text message to the young woman that contained a 10-second video of her sexual encounter with two juvenile male peers, with the message, "Remember this hoe." Her stepmother intercepted the message and reported it to the Santa Clara Sheriff's Office.
