Here's the deal around here.
First off - the spring game used to never get more than around 65,000 people in attendance. You could walk right up to the will call, buy a ticket for 8 bucks, get in, no issues.
Since the new renovations (and When Frosty got here), it got unreal. They've had to come up with a new way of selling tickets. They first open the first 65k tickets up to season ticket holders, because, blue hairs.
Season ticket holders swipe up tickets like it's the end of days, leaving about 25-30k tickets for the general public. Ticket scalpers were swiping them up enmasse, so they changed the rules a bit after last year.
Next - for every one adult ticket, you can have a complimentary ticket for those in the 8th grade or below. They get in free, and yes, babies have to have a ticket too.
You can only order a maximum of 10 tickets per customer number, so if you have a youth group (like my church) with about 20 guys, you have to get creative on how to get tickets.
So, let's say I order 5 tickets for adults, and 5 for youth. There's my 10 ticket maximum.
I ended up getting 15 adult tickets, 15 youth tickets, but I had to do the dance of dragons to purchase that many tickets....
It's nuts around here, and Frosty is beloved for obvious reasons around here.
Lastly - if you think going 4-8 last year would have swayed support for Husker football, keep in mind....Nebraska football has been sold out since November 3rd, 1962. Currently sitting at 368 consecutive sellouts.
