I was just thinking that. Remember when the Huskers dominated Arizona in the holiday bowl? The D was supposed to be back. It's pretty much sucked ever since.Poe McKnoe;2210098; said:Bill Callahan would be proud.
UCLA was NOT an offensive juggernaut last season. Either they got better or Nebraska's D really stinks.BuckTwenty;2210704; said:I hope you guys can get back to your Blackshirt ways on D, like the way you guys played against us in the 2nd half last year (witnessed that game first hand in Lincoln). Minus Sparty (who also happens to be Sparty) and Ohio State (who is still learning the ropes of what it takes to be great), the rest of the conference is stinking up the joint right now. I think you guys have the potential to be a great team if y'all can get things figured out on D like I think y'all are capable of.

More rumors - a four-star DT has reportedly left the team after the UCLA loss, which is further helping fuel the 3-4 rumors.
I have no idea what's going on here in Lincoln. I do know you don't typically have success switching up your defensive scheme in the middle of the season.
I also know something is horribly broken with this defense, and it needs to get fixed.

LINCOLN ? Nebraska has lost a key member of its defensive line rotation, which should create more opportunities for younger players at the position.
Sophomore Chase Rome is not on the Nebraska football team and won't be for the "foreseeable future," coach Bo Pelini said Wednesday after practice. Pelini said he'll make an announcement when Rome's status is finalized, but the sophomore will have to work out a "personal issue" first.
"Bottom line is, his personal goals, his personal perception of where he should be on this football team doesn't match the team goals," Pelini said.

Just wait, though - Ark State is coming to Lincoln next week. They're #3 in the nation in total offense.
Buckle up. :(
