Good for you that you sent him a Christmas well-wishing PM. This is the second time you have mentioned it. I was raised to believe that it is better to give than to recieve and as a corollary to that, when something is given, it is not given so that it may be acknowledged. Unfortunately, mentioning this fact twice gives the appearances that you want acknowledgement, which in my definition of the true meaning of the spirit of the season, cheapens the sentiment.

Yeah, I guess I sort of did want an acknowledgement as I was sort of trying to put this behind us a little.

Sending someone a Christmas PM and then attacking him doesn't say much about the commitment to the sentiment expressed in the PM, does it? I'll leave it to you NDC to consider whether mentioning the PM only makes it more obvious that it did not reflect your true sentiments. As BN27 did not provoke you in this instance, I'll also leave it to you to consider whether your anger was directed at him or perhaps at the reality of DiNardo's condemnation of Notre Dame and its current leadership.

Whatever the reason for the personal insult, that kind of behavior is the antithesis of what BP is about and what Christmas is supposed to be about as well.

I hope that you and yours have a Merry Christmas and that this matter can now be placed behind us all.

Wow, another Dr. Phil type lecture. First. I could give a crap what DiNardo says, he actually admits he doesn't know all the facts and all he is doing is repeating what he has heard. Besides he must have hard feeling as his buddy Clements wanted the job bad. FWIW, I would have been very happy with Tom Clements as head coach.

As for 27, yes I sent him a PM (as I have several times) trying to work this out and each time he has not responded. Maybe I should not have brought the PM up but I wanted you all to know that I have tried to work this thru with him. As far as 27's DiNardo response goes yes I felt it was a direct (yet subtle) slam at me. I may have been wrong but that is how I still see it. In hindsight I shoulld have not responded. I was very sincere in wishing him happy holidays but yet a little ticked off/frustrated that he did not resond. I should have took the high road but I did not and screwed up. Sorry...
