I have a conference call that starts at 10AM that requires my undivided attention. So I'll start my game then and then advance around 11-11:30.

Ugh. Missouri is the cheesingest fucking team I've encountered in this game. They just put TEs at every fucking skill position and chuck the ball around. They catch every damn thing - passes that don't get caught by human-controlled teams. Somehow, they can't be covered by CBs or Safeties half the time, and when are covered they make the catch anyway and just truck the guy. They also play a TE at RB. They don't even bother with legit position changes - they just line up #84 TE in the backfield and give him all the carries. Of course, he somehow never fumbles, finds the holes and trucks people left and right.
And then there was this. Opening drive, they have 4th and short at my 40-yard line. It's the CPU here, so this is a fake punt all the way. I line up in PR Safe, and they complete a pass for a first down anyway. Tough luck I guess, right? Well after that they go NO HUDDLE with the Kicker/Punter at QB. He proceeds to march them right down the fucking field 2/2 for 25 yards, and two option keepers for 15 yards and a TD. Now, I realize that in PR Safe I don't have my entire first string defense out there but I figure that shouldn't be necessary since they have a KICKER PLAYING QB. Nope.
My passing game sucks balls right now. My game before this I wasn't able to complete a single pass in the rain. I was only able to muster 1/6 in this game. With two bye weeks in between, that means my QB has only been able to muster ONE COMPLETION IN A MONTH.
Fortunately, I'm destroying teams with the run and don't really have to pass except to keep the other team honest. This leads me to my other disappointment - my first string RB got subbed out in the second half (not injured) and would not return to the game. It was a blowout, but I wanted to punish Missouri for their cheesy ways by dropping 70 on them. Instead, I was forced to go with my third string RB down the stretch.
In spite of my complaints I was able to win comfortably, but it was still one of the more frustrating I've played in quite some time.

I think our exchange from last week got zapped during the server change, but we had talked about playing our game early this evening. Are we still on? I'm about to leave work and will be able to start a game between 5:00 and 5:30
If that doesn't work... honestly I'm probably a no-go for the rest of the week and would have to sim. Between work, the wife, house hunting, P90x, errands and the NCAA tournament my time is gonna be limited and sporadic.

That was the biggest crock of shit I've ever been through. There is no way my defense is that bad, it's bad, but not watch TD pass after TD pass whiz right by their head. That was simply retarded.
Guess I need to get a kicker so I don't have to go for it on every 4th down.

The fumble recovery I had and the two goalline stands were huge. I did have a few big catches in traffic, but I think you made up for it on the TD you caught off the deflection. I was cussin' up a storm when that happened. I went to school on our last matchup and ran the ball more than twice this time.
That screen pass you had f'd me up too. I was having a small amount of success with the blitz before that, and went to the well one too many times in a row.
BTW - no big deal here but I was recruiting just now when you advanced. I guess I should've snuck in a time to do it earlier. I'm down to the very bottom of my board and only led for one guy before that anyway.

My bad on the recruiting, didn't even think about it. I was on the phone the last few minutes of our game and was complaining to myself while attempting to sound professional.
You deserved to win the game no doubt. I left 6 points on the board which did me in, though I still needed another 10 yards at least to kick a FG at the end. It's the same song and dance with this Cincy team, can't stop anything. What's weird is the Upstate team is rated similarly (now) and that defense is much better-especially the DB's. By the way, the way this dynasty is set up, we'll be playing each other each year, because the rest of the guys are paired up in the same conference. So we'll each have one set opponent and 1 rotating one.
No games this week, but I travel out of town tomorrow and Wednesday. If possible I would like to advance tomorrow before I leave to conf championship week.

I feel your pain on the kicker issues. I'm glad it didn't come down to that for me. I think I've attempted one FG all year over 25 yards. When he left it short I gave up on him.
BTW, did you see my punter (who handles kickoffs) in coverage? First man down the field!
Speed has to be about as useless a characteristic you could have in a punter on this game, but that's the guy I have.

It really didn't matter, 100% attention didn't make a difference earlier. I am getting recruited to go work for another company so I couldn't pass on the call.
I didn't realize it was a punter, but in another league a 4* punter was an A SPD but had no other skills at all. I thought it was odd to see that. Funny that you put him on coverage, make a man out of him yet.
