Well, that felt cheap. Hey EA, your defensive keys make it impossible to run the ball. Oh, and thanks for making the QB Sneak worthless. I mean, yeah, it's 3rd and inches at the goalline. NO ONE GOES FOR THE SNEAK. Oh wait, yeah, they do. It's a viable play. Well, not anymore. Thanks for taking all control away from me on the most basic play in football and making my 93 SPD QB dive into my center. That made sense. Why the fuck would a QB start a dive where he'd come up short even if the defense wasn't on the field? This game pisses me off. I miss the days of stupid speed. At least it wasn't Tecmo Bowl. Fucking 1st and Goal from the one and I got Tecmo Blitzed four times in a row. Awesome. Great gameplay.

My gripe was more of the pass defense keys. I was throwing to WIDE OPEN recievers all over the field with a 95+ accuracy QB at home and could not get them the ball in the first half. I mean the passes weren't even close.

Being a run dominated team is worthless but your qb was hard to get a handle on. What was the score after the first half? Was it 17-0?

That's right. I was so pissed that I couldnt hit wide open guys that I started just slinging the ball around and not even paying attention to down and distance. On your second td I had just finished picking up the controller after I dropped a wide open 4th down

It evened out. How my QB missed my open receiver on 4th and Goal from the one inch line is beyond me. You had no one covering him and you blitzed everybody, yet the ball landed two yards in front of him. This game is just stupid at times.

I wish... it would have to be a total honor system thing. Not like it is hard to know when a guy does it as the whole line crashes in or the way you think the run is going. But it would be really hard to police.

Iron & Nole didn't seem to use it alot when I played them. Heck, Olaf didn't use it much either. I am also trying not to use it alot either unless it is an obvious running situation or I am getting frustrated at not stopping the run and start using it more.

FYI - Updated Post #4 with the Recruiting rankings. Was going to input the schedule, but apparantly I don't have the final copy here at work. So updating with what I have (just conference schedules) and will finish up the schedules by Friday.

I don't think you used it at all against me. Piney and I only used it a couple of times against each other, and that was in third or fourth and very short situations. I would be all for banning keys. There are a lot of OD's on operation sports, that have already banned using keys.

Yes. What I've noticed is some teams with an extremely good dline can go key to the middle run if the QB is under center and almost always get to the QB before he can throw. Mix this in with running a quarters defense and it makes it very difficult. Personally, I only use it in obvious plays but have experimented with using it more (and failed).

However, I think the keys absolutely suck for players that are one dimensional on offense (like me). I'm probably 90% pass and my opponents know they can key the pass all the time and disrupt my offense. I'm sure it was the same way for the guys who tried running the flexbone. I think I actually remember PM'ing IBI back and forth about this.

So yeah, I'm all for signing to not use keys. What would we make the penalty be for those that do not cooperate?

would we be banning it completely? I think if it's 3rd and 25 or 4th and 1 we should be allowed to assume what is coming and adjust accordingly. I also don't really have a problem with using it against 1 dimensional offenses.....unless it really is a huge advantage for the D. I'm pretty sure our D was keying on the run against Navy on almost every play.....and I'm pretty sure Texas' D keyed on the pass against Texas Tech.
