It was against Piney and I choose to go out and drink ALL weekend instead of play him. He got to play the CPU, because I made that choice. I have no issue with that. I do have an issue if we are trying to get something together and we make ourselves available at different times. I see that as both people trying and doing what their pending schedule allows. I dont think either should be "punished" by being put on autopilot.

Didnt you have a game in the other dynasty that you couldnt play because of schedule conflicts?

And that worked out wonderfully for my Georgia team

But that also had me being available Friday afternoon during Wood's normal available time and Wood saying he decided to have a drinking binge all weekend long so our 'normal' Saturday/Sunday morning game time he wasn't available.

Trust me, if that had happened here. Like if you took a half day off from work and Wood never showed up to a scheduled time, I would be viewing this differently.

Well, time for me to run and pick up the rug rat from child care. I'll check back in later tonight and hopefully you guys don't get into a bigger pissing match.

I have even offered to wake up early and play around 1am, just to get video games in.

Which is why I offered, "even if it means I have to play in the middle of the night." I work from 12:30PM to 9PM. I have a minimum of a 1 hour commute. Like you, I do not have the option of deciding when I go into work. I do have the choice of trying to get the game in when neither of us is at work. 1 AM would have been fine with me. Luckily, you had jury duty and that wasn't necessary, because...

uh yeah that is pretty much impossible for me...unless


I totally forgot but I was summoned to be a standby juror. I find out tonight if I have to go in or not tomorrow. If I do have to go in tomorrow, I would be able to play around 5am or 6am.

So, do I feel that offering up 12 hours worth of start time, or 13.5 hours to get a game in is selfish? Can't say that I do.

But how fair is that to Wood then? Cuz then people can on purpose not be available when Wood is available so they can get the easy autopilot victory.

I can't imagine anyone in this dynasty pulling something like that. If they did, I can't imagine 5 people not calling them on it. Just saying...

My suggestion to basebuck is not to bend over backwards. If you have work appointments, don't [censored] that up just to try to get a game in. Now if you can leave work early by 15-20 minutes to get a game in and it doesn't affect work, go for it. Don't cancel social events just to get a game in. If the stars align, they will on their own (like how wood had jury duty and was able to play Iron).

Which makes sense in theory but in reality, would any of you want to SIM a conference game and the CCG every year? Kind of ruins the dynasty IMO.

But this is the first season of 2010, if we continue this as long as we did 2009 this issue will come up again alot since they play every season and their life schedules will always make this an issue. So we should come up with some solution. I just don't know which one yet.

This is why I lobbied so hard for a split between ATM and Okie st. before conferences were aligned. It takes a lot of enjoyment out of the game when games are going to be simmed before the season starts.

Well, if this was the CCG I would have a different view as I would be more inclined to delay the advancement depending on the importance of the game.

And it is also why you re-created your TAMU game versus picking another team in a different conference Hey, at least you guys are in different divisions so you guys aren't forced to play every year... wait. So now we have seasons where you guys play TWICE a season since you guys SHOULD play every year in the CCG and then the years you guys play in the conference schedule Who let you guys do that?
