Agreed we made a good decision on low ranked teams. I do this already. In '07 (2006 calendar year) I took EAST CAROLINA when the had an F defense but the fastest running in the game at the time. I love doing long dynasties and building a team.

This is the only year I plan to go for 1-2*. I lose so many people I just had to. Next year I am going to really recruit more specifically and hope this years Ohio and Texas recruits strengthen my pipeline states. Then I can bring in the money.

I still have an outside hope of winning the MWC. Its probably going to come down to a BYU/AF title game.

bleh, I can't believe you guys are already talking commits even, I have 0, but I guess this is the same thing that happened to my class in my offline dynasty and by the end of the season I ended up with a pretty decent class. Oh well, I just kicked 5 guys to the curb this week and have tried to replace them for some 4*'s... we'll see if it all pays off.

And damn, another squeaker for me, 21-14 over :shake: memphis :sad2: ... as my new message says, I'm pretty sure I've just gotten worse since my early season success. Hopefully, though, I'll keep up the win streak, win out against the rest of my cupcake schedule and take on Piney for the CUSA championship.

The best I can hope for in recruiting is if the three 3* prospects I'm after commit. Everybody else is 2* or worse. If I finish the season with a decent record and a Bowl win, hopefully I can get a 4* player or two next year.

But damn, Army's pitch screen sucks bad. I have one Elite, one Excellent, two Greats, and a butt-load of Sub-Pars and Poors.

I redshirted a lot of guys, and most of my best players are juniors. I just hope I don't have an exodus of juniors leaving...specifically at corner. If I go lower than 3* guys then I'm just cluttering up my depth chart, and won't have early PT to offer to next years recruits due to all the scrubs on my roster.

Even if I don't get a big crop of recruits. I'll be cutting a QB, if not two. Probably a TE and as many LBs as they'll let me unload.

im hoping Colorado's prestige level goes up a notch after this season so I can bag more 4 stars next year (and maybe a 5 star or two) , If I win out vs the computer I will have 10 wins and maybe I can win the big 12 title (and go undefeated) if I can take down the 2 user controlled teams I have to play

im fairly confident in my ability to beat computer teams now, I beat the hell out of Kansas and had a pretty easy time with Texas, Florida State and their 99 rated defense (I think, maybe lower but the it seem to me EA made their D the fastest in the game for some reason) gave me the most trouble so far

When I am the only guy that has offered it is pretty easy to reel them in :biggrin: Heck a 1* punter committed to me in the first week. But I knew when I took SMU that I would be scrapping the bottom of the barrel during the first year.

And don't scare me about Memphis, I have a boatload of prospects coming for that game and I need an impressive win there. I really want to wrap up some important prospects so I can go fishing for 4* talent and spend 2-3 hours on them each.

But it looks like we are on a collision course for the CUSA title game. But really my team sucks so bad you can't lose to me. Ask bm11 & Iron

Haha, I don't what happened with my game against Memphis, really they're not that good, I just reverted back to my week 1 turnover-palooza by tossing up three or maybe even four picks to them. I really should have won that game something like 38 or 45 to like 7. They're QB is alright, running game is somewhat decent, but they're defense sucks, they're just opportunistic I guess...

Oh well, time for another bye week to get my guys back into shape and well rested for the 5 game stretch of cupcakes I've got left on my schedule. See ya in the CUSA championship!!!

Heh...I wish I had that problem. I do have a question, though. I was always under the impression that if the recruit was better than those in his position on the depth chart, the early playing time is a good thing. Here's an example. In my Ohio State offline dynasty, I was able to score a couple 5* receivers even though there are eight or nine already on the roster. IIRC, playing time was either Good or Very Good on the recruiting pitch screen. I remember thinking it would be Poor or Sub-Par.

If that's the case, then great. I always had a problem getting recruits that wanted early PT, if my bench was too deep, in NCAA '07. Don't know if that's the case anymore.

Just beat UNLV, finally played some defense holding them to 53 rushing yards and 179 pass yards...

So, yeah I am ready for the next :biggrin:

Piney, I spent 2 hours with your WR you were talking about. We will see who he is really commited too!!!!

I think they only scored one offensive touchdown on me. Malcolm Jenkins ran a kickoff back, Robo scored the offensive TD, and I think they had a few FG's. I felt bad that I beat them so bad.

But this week, I'm gonna beat the brakes off of Michigan!!!
